Food Server
Summary
Under the supervision of the Dining Room Manager, a Server interacts with residents and Front Porch residential facility employees, ensuring they have a great dining experience. Servers are responsible for positive guest interactions, maintaining a friendly and efficient demeanor, and performing various duties such as table setting, menu presentation, and guest assistance.
Detailed Responsibilities
- Provides quality customer service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers, and vendors, ensuring satisfaction.
- Prepares tables, lays out napkins and utensils, refills condiments, and performs other preparation tasks.
- Stays updated on current menu choices, specialties, and menu deviations, and informs guests about food preparation details.
- Directs guests to their tables, presents menus, suggests dishes, assists with drink selection, and communicates specific guest needs to the kitchen staff.
- Maintains proper dining experience by delivering items, fulfilling guest needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, and replenishing utensils and glasses.
- Performs basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor.
- Fills in for absent staff as needed.
- Assists with special events as needed.
- Greet all guests and owners warmly with an appropriate greeting.
- Follows highest standards of cleanliness.
- Complies with all federal, state, and corporate policies, health codes, and guidelines in food preparation and handling.
- Wears safety equipment as required for the job and reports any safety hazards or accidents to the supervisor.
- Participates in departmental safety programs and follows established procedures during drills and actual emergencies.
- Attends all mandatory in-service meetings.
- Complies with all department and facility policies and procedures.
- Understands the facility’s fire and disaster plans and follows established procedures during drills and actual emergencies.
BRINGER OF PIE
- Essential: Food Handlers' certification from local health department.
- Education with Equivalent Qualifications: Some High School Education.
- Nonessential: Bachelor's Degree.
- Experience with Equivalent Qualifications: 0 Year 1 month related experience or training.
