Food Science Research Engineer
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize chemical, biological, or mechanical processes related to food engineering
- Conduct research and experiments to improve food processing techniques and efficiency
- Analyze data from pilot plants and manufacturing environments to inform process improvements
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues during testing and production
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and innovation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, Biological Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field
- 0-2 years of relevant experience; internships, co-ops, research projects, or food-processing experience considered
- Experience working in food processing, salty snacks, confectionery, pilot plants, or manufacturing environments preferred
- Familiarity with data analysis, DOE/statistics, and hands-on equipment troubleshooting is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
