Job Summary
Join our team as a Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Technician, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performing physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems.
- Documenting and calculating results accurately.
- Taking corrective action, when necessary, such as alerting appropriate personnel to adjust processes, identifying, segregating, and isolating non-conforming products, and reporting results to management.
- Handling additional assignments as requested.
Shift/Pay
This position works 2nd shift. This position pays $21.95/hour and is paid weekly!
Working Conditions
- Environment: Normal for a food manufacturing setting.
- Physical Requirements: Involves lifting materials and products up to 75 pounds. Standing on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day. Working in cold/hot temperatures typically ranging from 30-90 degrees Fahrenheit. Working in a wet environment. Repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, pushing and pulling. Reaching high and low levels frequently. Climbing step ladders and or stairs. Working overtime and weekends as needed.
- Safety Equipment: Use of steel-toed work boots, hardhats, safety glasses, hairnets, beard nets (if applicable), and smocks is required.
- Restrictions: Cell phones and jewelry are not permitted on the factory floor.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in the food manufacturing industry OR related Quality Assurance type experience.
- Communication Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Special Skills: Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork. Ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce. Good problem identification and problem-solving skills. Math and organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret product specifications. Must function well under stress. Must have flexibility to work where and when needed.

- Must be able to work in a wet environment.
- Must be able to reach high and low levels frequently.
