About the role
Maintain a safe working environment for self and others.
Ensure employees are trained and following all plant and safety, Food Safety, GMP and sanitation regulations.
Ensure all products and packages are produced, stored, and shipped within Wis-Pak and parent company specifications.
Provide adequate inventories of lab supplies, sanitation chemicals, water/wastewater treating chemical and product ingredients.
Must upgrade testing equipment as necessary.
Is the leader of the Food Safety Team, which includes staying up to date with food safety training.
Will be Audit Team Leader in partnership with QA Manager.
Responsibilities
- Lead quality control compliance QAS audit and military audits in partnership with QA Manager
- Lead food safety compliance audits such as but not limited to FSSC 22000, AIB and FDA in partnership with QA Manager
- Design and implement programs to monitor calibration and accuracy of all analytical procedures and equipment in the plant
- Lead the interpretation of in-process and analytical data to make quality evaluations, recommend actions for improvements, and assure resolution
- Challenge results and drive improvements
- Coach others in the interpretation of results
- Provide training in the area of food science, regulatory requirements, and quality measurement systems to appropriate personnel
- Administer quality control policies and procedures
- Promote and actively demonstrate continuous improvement within the facility
- Follow and enforce all Wis-Pak policies and procedures
- Keep records and procedures up to date including documentation review within timeframes as specified on documents
- Conduct meetings as needed and participate in facility meetings
- Assist and communicate professionally with other departments
Requirements
- Must possess food manufacturing experience, beverage preferred
- Must possess good people skills
- Possess good skills in math, verbal and written communication
- Good organizational, multi-tasking, time management skills and a proven ability to problem solve
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office and Excel
- Certifications to include HACCP and PCQI for Food Safety, or ability to obtain within one year
Qualifications
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis

Schedule
6:00am-3:30pm, Monday-Sunday availability
