Food Runner - Part Time, Brew Brothers

About the role

Prepares and checks plate presentation, accuracy and ticket times for food going out of the window. Interacts with guests, communicates needs to the kitchen and other food issues, performs opening and closing side duties, and maintains a clean and sanitary station.

Responsibilities

• Provides superior guest service, positively affects interactions with guests and team members, deals with difficult guests, works courteously with fellow team members.
• Pre-busses and busses all guest areas including scraping and stacking plates, cups, silverware, removal of dirty linens, transporting dirty items to dish pit.
• Acts as a customer experience owner, surprising and delighting guests, leaving positive feelings, establishing/maintaining relationships.
• Acknowledges customers in a friendly and timely manner, addressing them by name when possible.
• Assists wait staff and host/ess as needed.
• Maintains clean and organized side stations, counters and guest areas; restocks items as required.
• Assists host/ess in seating patrons.
• Wears black, slip‑resistant shoes at all times; maintains clean and professional appearance.
• Knows and demonstrates workplace safety procedures; completes all company‑required training.
• Complies with drug & alcohol‑free workplace policy.
• Interacts with guests and demonstrates knowledge of all menu items.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent; one year front‑of‑house hospitality experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Communicates effectively and maintains positive working relationships with guests, coworkers, and management.
• Must pass a required background check.
• Report to work in a neat and clean uniform with slip‑resistant shoes; well‑groomed hair and personal hygiene essential.
• Must obtain required food handlers permit.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs on a tray for up to 50 yards; push or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
• Physical dexterity to carry a tray; maneuver in tight, confined areas.
• Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift continuously.
• Ability to pre‑bus, clear, and clean tables in a section without busser assistance.
• Ability to work in an environment with excessive noise, continuously changing temperature levels, and fluctuating business levels.

Pay

This position typically starts at $13.00 per hour + tips.

Schedule

Works a variable schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
