Food Runner - JOEY La Jolla

About the role

The Food Runner plays a vital role in ensuring excellent guest service by delivering food orders from the kitchen to the members of our serving staff, accurately, and with Genuine Warmth and Care. Working closely with kitchen and service staff, the Food Runner helps maintain a smooth workflow between front and back-of-house operations.

Responsibilities

• Promptly deliver food orders from the kitchen/expo line to service staff in the dining areas.
• Navigate through the restaurant while carrying dishware and glassware safely and efficiently; may include use of trays.
• Follow all food service safety precautions and procedures.

Requirements

• No experience necessary.
• Must have or be able to obtain valid local and/or state Food Handler permits.
• Possess a passion for hospitality, a professional demeanor, and an ability to work well in a team setting.
• Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
• Be able to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time; frequent bending, reaching, and stretching; repetitive manual tasks; lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
