Food Runner

About the role

Serve and replenish food items offered at the restaurant. Maintain food service and cleanliness. Handle guest transactions and ensure smooth and efficient register operations.

Potential career path: Server - Bartender.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge guests as soon as they enter the restaurant with a warm and welcoming manner.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness throughout the restaurant.
• Assist in storing all deliveries.
• Stock condiments and utensils in the beverage area.
• Fill coffee and teapots.
• Familiarize yourself with front and back of house, storage areas, and the ice room.
• Maintain the appearance of patio furniture and handle the opening and closing of umbrellas.
• Pull in signs and shut down the Food Pavilion.
• Know menu pricing, location of items, and daily specials.
• Understand how each product is prepared along with its condiments.
• Operate all line equipment.
• Exhibit a "can do" attitude and total cooperation.
• Report safety issues and quality/spoilage concerns.

Requirements

• Experience in a food service environment is strongly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including holidays, weekends, and evenings.

Work Environment

• Requires standing and moving for extended periods.
• Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
