Food Runner

About the role

Babcock National Golf Club in Punta Gorda, FL is seeking a driven Part-Time Food Runner eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property. As part of Troon, you’ll join a global leader in golf and community management.

Responsibilities

• Assure all material used by servers and expeditors is clean and ready for daily operation.
• Know the position of each diner’s chair in the dining rooms and lounges.
• Set the outside line with under-liner plates, flatware, doilies, linen napkins, and any other items needed for food delivery.
• Organize plates in the window and match each with its ticket to run food to tables.
• Set tables in accordance with facility standards.
• Answer guests’ questions about ingredients and menu items.
• Inform restaurant staff about customers’ feedback or requests (e.g., when they ask for the check).
• Ensure each menu item is prepared exactly as outlined on the ticket.
• Deliver food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables rapidly and accurately.
• Correct menu items with the chef or expeditor before delivery to meet ticket specifications.
• Remove unused place settings.
• Clear dishes from guests upon completion of a course.
• Keep workstations well-stocked with items and ingredients.
• Clean workstations, take out trash, and vacuum the dining room.
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
