Food Quality Technician-2nd Shift

This is a Contract to Hire position based in Brockton, MA.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-process analytical testing on all products manufactured on continuous cooking equipment, including % soluble solids, viscosity, and color.
• Perform in-process organoleptic and visual inspections on all manufactured products.
• Audit all cook stations and packaging lines for compliance with HACCP food safety protocols, including weights, seals, temperatures, coding, and GMPs.
• Ensure daily food safety and quality of products produced or packaged.
• Verify that all printed labels and packaging films meet approved standards provided by Marketing.
• Perform annual raw material validations against supplier Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
• Verify incoming raw materials against Bills of Lading (BOLs) and confirm accuracy of COAs.
• Initiate and document corrective actions by reporting food safety or quality issues to the supervisor or designee.
• Perform environmental swabbing of equipment as required.
• Provide coverage on the production floor and/or in the QA lab as needed.
• Maintain professional communication across all levels of production and management.
• Accurately and thoroughly complete all required daily documentation.

Requirements

• 1-3 years in a Quality Assurance role; experience in food plant processes
• Associates degree in the sciences with 1-2 years of experience in industry or academic setting or Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of experience in industry or academic setting

Pay

$18.00 - $22.00/hr
