Bronx Addiction Treatment Center (ATC), Bronx Psychiatric Center Building #13 – 1500 Waters Place, Bronx, NY 10461

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness within the kitchen, food service area, and dining room, including all onsite equipment, food storage areas, and refrigerators
• Clean, disinfect, and mop the dining room area after each service
• Wash and rinse dishes, pots, pans, and utensils in the dishwasher
• Drain and clean the dishwasher after each use
• Maintain the kitchen in a sanitary condition, including floors and walls
• Follow safe, sanitary food handling practices
• Prepare, serve, and reheat food for clients
• Portion meals, salads, desserts, beverages, and snacks and distribute to appropriate areas
• Dispose of trash in garbage cans multiple times per day
• Clean and disinfect trash and garbage cans as needed
• Take and record inventory of food items weekly
• Report need for equipment repairs to appropriate staff at the ATC
• Assist in receiving deliveries; must be able to lift 50 pounds of canned goods and other food products and store them in appropriate areas
• Monitor and conduct audits to assess proper food service operation (e.g., safe food handling storage, dishwasher machine temps, etc.)
• Perform other related duties as assigned
