Food Preparation Worker

Position Summary

This position is responsible for setting up workstation(s), preparing and portioning salads, sandwiches, fruit and dessert for patient and cafeteria meals. Portions and assembles food for trays, and correctly stores all foods. Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment and demonstrates the "Intensive Caring" philosophy in interactions with patients, visitors and staff.

Minimum Education Required

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers and to read and write simple sentences; or equivalent; 100 hours training in use of kitchen equipment and food production practices (or 1 month experience).

Required Qualifications

• Must pass physical exam.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Previous food service experience desired.
