Food Prep Worker - Rutgers University Camden

Pay

The hourly rate for this position is $15.92 to $17.00.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all food items using prep lists and standard Aramark recipes
• Follows proper food handling procedures and maintains accurate food rotation for quality and freshness
• Manages leftover foods correctly: covers, labels, dates, and stores according to Aramark standards
• Maintains clean and orderly refrigerators and work areas
• Cleans, sanitizes, and organizes stations at the end of each shift, including kitchen equipment
• Maintains a safe and sanitary work environment that conforms to food safety standards and regulations
• Follows safety policies and accident reporting procedures
• Completes all required training

Requirements

• Minimum one year of prep work or food service-related experience preferred
• Knowledge of food prep, proper knife handling, temperature control, and sanitation
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with others
• Basic math and counting skills

This role may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, and standing. Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
