About the role
Join our team as a Packaging Operator on the 3rd shift in Germantown, WI. This is a full-time position with stable hours and no seasonal cuts.
Pay
$22.50/hour base pay plus shift differential, with potential for additional earnings based on experience.
Schedule
Monday – Friday, 10 PM – 6 AM.

Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Gehl Foods safety standards and regulatory requirements while following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Operate and monitor secondary packaging equipment to maintain food safety, product quality, and conformity to customer standards.
- Perform cleaning, inspection, and lubrication of equipment.
- Participate in startup, troubleshooting, adjustment, stop/reset, and shutdown of line equipment; clear jams and report malfunctions.
- Perform changeovers, including line clears and setup for the next item’s packaging and coding.
- Apply labels to secondary packages and finished goods pallets.
- Report out-of-specification results to the Quality Department and Business Unit Lead/Supervisor.
- Report unsafe conditions or compliance issues to the Business Unit Lead/Supervisor.
- Complete handwritten instructions and online documentation, including Quality and Critical Control Point (CCP) checks at required frequencies.
- Maintain accurate work logs, Factory MES data collection, and inventory records.
- Monitor and review inventory and production levels to optimize operating conditions.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, completing environmental cleaning as needed.
- Participate in shift exchanges and work team meetings.
- Safely operate forklifts to handle materials and finished goods.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 6 months of previous manufacturing, packaging, or assembly line production experience.
- Demonstrated organizational and observational skills; detail-oriented.
- Basic mathematical calculation skills.
- Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions in English.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under limited supervision.
