Food & Nutrition Offsite Supply Transporter
We are seeking a dependable team member with a valid driver’s license who enjoys driving and takes pride in their work. This position is responsible for safely operating a Riverview Health transport vehicle to deliver Food & Nutrition supplies and maintain inventory at our offsite locations, including Riverview Health Westfield Hospital, ERUC Fishers, ERUC Carmel, and ERUC Zionsville.
In addition, this role supports Riverview Health’s community outreach efforts by delivering food donations to the Noblesville Food Pantry and St. Vincent de Paul twice per week. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and committed to ensuring all locations remain fully stocked and supported. Candidates must be able to lift, carry, and move supplies weighing up to 30 pounds, load and unload deliveries, and perform routine stocking and inventory tasks throughout the day.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Riverview Health transport vehicle to deliver Food & Nutrition supplies and maintain inventory at offsite locations.
- Deliver food donations to the Noblesville Food Pantry and St. Vincent de Paul twice per week.
- Assist customers in the Micro Market area in a friendly and professional manner to provide an excellent customer experience.
- Support Micro Market operations, including utilizing proper food handling techniques in all retail/kitchen areas.
- Assist with keeping the Market, Kitchen, and Coffee Stations clean and organized.
- Stock pantries using a par level list and maintain cleanliness and sanitation.
- Clean dining room tables, floors, microwaves, and keep condiments stocked.
- Document temperatures of equipment daily and flush the eye wash station weekly.
- Prepare a daily prep list for food using par levels and create orders for food and drink supplies needed at Westfield.
- Assist in preparing food items that will be sent to the Westfield Market.
- Interact with and take direction from leads and management to perform required duties with minimal supervision.
- Adhere to all department rules according to the policies and procedures in the employee handbook, including attendance, tardiness, uniform usage, and sanitation and safety guidelines.
- Participate in the Employee Development Process, including self-evaluations, meetings, annual reviews, and all mandatory education requirements.
- Demonstrate the ability to multi-task and perform several different functions over the course of a shift.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move supplies weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Strong focus on safe driving practices and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and represent Riverview Health professionally.
Qualifications
- Minimum: High School Diploma, GED, or currently enrolled in high school courses.
- Preferred: High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum Experience: 6 months or more in customer service, cash handling, and food service support.
- Preferred Experience: One year or more of food service or restaurant experience, customer service, and cash handling.
