Food Lead Auditor/ North America

About the role

DQS Inc., a leading global independent business service organization, is seeking Certified Contract Lead Auditors for the Global Food Safety Initiative Benchmarked Schemes (BRC, FSSC 22000 and SQF) based within North America, with a preference for locations within the US.

Responsibilities

• Assess customer needs and meet quality standards for services
• Evaluate customer satisfaction
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing to diverse audiences
• Work independently and present a professional image
• Use critical thinking skills to solve problems
• Have knowledge of food safety principles and methods for standard assessments
• Experience with food quality and food safety management systems
• Experience in food, ingredients, or food packaging industries for at least 5 years
• Extensive travel may be required
• Preferred experience in BRC, FSSC22k, and SQF sectors

Requirements

• Lead Auditor, HACCP, GFSI recognized Standard(s)
• Maintain appropriate audit credentials and pursue related credentials
• Bachelor’s degree or above in a food-related or bio-science discipline
• Second and/or Third-party audits experience

The ideal candidate will have a successful work history, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and the ability to work in a virtual home-based environment.
