About the role

We're hiring a very select team of high-caliber food and ingredient analysts to help build the foundational ingredient data for our platform. This is a contract, part-time position with a guaranteed schedule of 10 hours per week for 4 weeks, starting August 20, 2026 (training on or before August 17). Responsibilities

  • Work directly with food and ingredient data, identifying what makes each ingredient unique and how ingredients relate to one another.
  • Use AI tools to clarify each ingredient’s identity, functional capacities, synonyms, and scientifically backed descriptive details.
  • Maintain data accuracy and consistency; catch and correct errors.
  • Work in a team environment, picking up review requests from a queue and resolving or escalating them as needed.

Requirements

  • A formal background in nutrition or food science (AA, bachelor's, advanced degree, or technical training).

How we hire

We expect many applications and will select only ten analysts. The process includes a short hands-on skills exercise to assess accuracy. AI tools may assist in reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or identifying verification signals, but final decisions are made by humans.
