The Food & Beverage team enables a consistent experience for guests by ensuring product is fresh, in stock, available, and accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. This team leads food and food services, including replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, and pricing for all Food & Beverage areas of the store.

This role provides skills and experience in:

  • Guest service fundamentals and building a guest-first, freshness culture
  • Food & Beverage business fundamentals (sales trends, freshness, food safety, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing, and promotions)
  • Planning daily/weekly workload to support priorities and sales goals
  • Leading a team (interviewing, training, coaching, evaluating, and developing talent)

Responsibilities

  • Consistently deliver guest experience commitments to create an easy, inspiring, and friendly experience. Train and hold team members accountable for guest experience standards.
  • Review guest, financial, and team outcome metrics; identify opportunities, take action, and celebrate wins.
  • Plan and execute daily/weekly workload to meet sales goals, including merchandising, pricing, promotions, and sampling.
  • Lead a guest-focused, efficient Food & Beverage team by completing daily standards walks and assessing backroom/sales floor areas.
  • Prioritize business needs, assign tasks based on workload and guest traffic, and validate team progress.
  • Lead team huddles, communicate focuses/trends, and leverage store reporting and HQ communications.
  • Maintain a fresh, fully stocked, and food-safe area by following inventory management and food safety policies.
  • Develop and maintain vendor partnerships to ensure clear expectations, brand standards, and in-stock reliability.
  • Place store-initiated orders and stay updated on relevant trends/products to educate team members.
  • Support hiring and onboarding of new team members.
  • Assist with guest services (back-up cashier, order pick-up, Drive-up) while maintaining compliance.
  • Become a subject matter expert in federal, state, and local adult beverage laws (if applicable).
  • Uphold Starbucks and Pizza Hut brand standards, complete training/certifications, and foster productive relationships with district managers (if applicable).
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; lead team accountability.
  • Model physical security processes and support merchandise protection strategies.
  • Occasionally assume store-level leadership duties during assigned shifts.
  • Address all store emergency and compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous retail and/or food experience preferred
  • Strong interest and knowledge of the Food & Beverage business
  • Ability to lead and hold others accountable
  • Proficiency in using handheld scanners, frequency devices, and other technology
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong workload management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment and meet timeframes
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
  • Effective communication skills
  • Access all areas of the building to respond to guest/team member issues
  • Interpret instructions, reports, and information accurately
  • Handle cash register operations as needed
  • Climb ladders if required
  • Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including lifting up to 44 pounds without assistance
  • Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable and prompt attendance
  • Ability to work in refrigerated/freezer environments and handle common allergens
  • Capability to work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements (e.g., Drive-Up, carryout)
  • Ability to remain mobile for the duration of scheduled shifts
