Role
The Food & Beverage Roving Manager provides operational leadership across all Food & Beverage venues to ensure consistent execution of Hyatt service standards, operational excellence, and guest satisfaction. This role flexes between restaurants, bars, pool operations, banquets, and special events based on seasonal business demands and operational priorities. The Roving Manager serves as an extension of the Food & Beverage leadership team by providing leadership continuity, supporting department managers, and ensuring each operation maintains exceptional service, quality, cleanliness, and financial accountability. This position is designed to maximize operational flexibility while supporting the resort's evolving business needs throughout the year.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide manager coverage across all Food & Beverage operations based on business needs and seasonal priorities.
- Lead daily operations while maintaining Hyatt service standards and ensuring exceptional guest experiences.
- Coach and support hourly colleagues through active floor leadership and real-time feedback.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, alcohol service, cleanliness, and brand standards.
- Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally while creating service recovery opportunities.
- Execute opening, mid-shift, and closing management responsibilities for assigned venues.
- Support department leaders with training initiatives, menu rollouts, operational projects, and seasonal activations.
- Monitor labor deployment and operational efficiency while maintaining service standards.
- Assist with staffing transitions during vacations, leaves of absence, high-volume periods, and special events.
- Foster collaboration between outlets by promoting consistent communication and operational execution.
- Maintain accurate documentation including shift reports, cash handling, incident reports, and daily operational communication.
- Perform additional operational leadership duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous Food & Beverage management experience in a hotel, resort, or high-volume restaurant environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multiple styles of operations including restaurants, bars, pool operations, and banquet functions.
- Strong communication, organizational, and guest service skills.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing business demands.
- Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high service standards.
- Working knowledge of labor management, food safety, alcohol service regulations, and Hyatt operational standards preferred.
Schedule Requirements
Must be available to work a flexible schedule during the week, including weekends and holidays.
