About the role
The Multi-Unit Manager oversees and manages all areas of the restaurant and makes final decisions on matters of importance to guest service. They are responsible for ensuring that all financial and personnel/payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant
- Ensure accurate completion of financial and personnel/payroll related administrative duties
- Prepare and submit daily and nightly reports
- Manage shifts including daily decision making, scheduling, planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness
- Interview hourly employees
- Direct hiring, supervision, development and, when necessary, termination of employees
- Knowledge of computers (MS Word, Excel)
- Understand and apply knowledge of restaurant functions including food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies and procedures, personnel management, recordkeeping, and preparation of reports
Requirements
- ServSafe certification
- Proficient in computer applications (MS Word, Excel)
- Knowledge of restaurant functions
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in restaurant management or a related field
- Experience with inventory and ordering of food and supplies
- Experience with profit optimization and guest satisfaction
- Experience with employee selection, development, and termination
