The Ned NoMad is a sophisticated members' club and hotel in New York City, the first international outpost of The Ned London. Housed in the historic Johnston Building, our property blends original charm with contemporary design, offering 167 bedrooms and suites, multiple bars and restaurants, a rooftop terrace, and nightly live entertainment.

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Food & Beverage Manager to report directly to the Director of Food & Beverage. In this fast-paced environment, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring exceptional service and financial success while collaborating across teams to create extraordinary guest experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee member, guest, and employee satisfaction while maintaining standards and exceeding financial and experience goals.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of food and beverage laws and execute The Ned’s sequence of service flawlessly.
  • Run the floor during service, guiding and coaching staff, resolving guest complaints, and ensuring the highest level of service.
  • Assist with administrative tasks including placing orders, paying invoices, organizing stockrooms, scheduling staff, and recruitment.
  • Collaborate with the Events & Membership team to ensure all Ned standards are met for events.
  • Lead daily operations to elevate member, guest, and staff experiences through efficient and effective service standards.
  • Foster an environment of motivation, empowerment, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage the successful execution of Club events and experiences through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Champion onboarding, training, and welcoming new hires.
  • Build trust, respect, and cooperation among team members and across departments.
  • Monitor and maintain employee productivity levels.
  • Propose innovative revenue channels for food, beverage, and events.
  • Partner with Membership to gather feedback and develop initiatives addressing member concerns.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a fast-paced, professional environment.
  • Previous experience as a Floor Manager, Server Captain, or Supervisor in a high-volume, food-forward setting.
  • Proven ability to champion culture, facilitate communication, and engage teams.
  • Team-focused mindset with an understanding of broader business contributions.
  • Ability to manage diverse stakeholders effectively.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to seize, grasp, turn, and hold objects with hands.
  • Capable of working on your feet for at least 8 hours.
  • Fast-paced movements required to navigate the club.
  • Ability to move, pull, carry, or lift 20 to 60 pounds.
  • Occasional kneeling, bending, crouching, climbing, and use of a step ladder.
