Food & Beverage Attendant - MFWAK

About the role

The Food & Beverage Attendant ensures high levels of quality and consistency in the hotel's buffet areas. They adhere to all health, sanitation, and cleanliness standards as per state and local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and transport food and beverage items and supplies to and from buffet areas.
• Maintain adequate supplies of food, beverages, and other essentials to serve guests; replenish as needed.
• Follow preparation methods, times, and standards; monitor taste, appearance, and other aspects of food and beverages.
• Welcome guests and address their requests promptly and professionally; refer serious issues to management.
• Purchase and requisition inventory to ensure sufficient stock of food, beverages, and other items.
• Control food and beverage costs; maintain proper storage and minimize waste.
• Keep work and buffet areas clean and organized; report any unsafe conditions or maintenance needs to supervisors.
• Operate dishwashing machines and store clean dishes and utensils in designated locations.
• Communicate effectively with other departments to promote teamwork and quality service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Prior food preparation experience preferred.
• Ability to carry or lift up to 50 pounds.
• Standing and moving about the kitchen and cafeteria.
• Bending, stooping, kneeling.
• Effective communication skills.
• Reading and writing abilities.
• Basic mathematical skills.
