Responsibilities

  • Supervises staff and manages daily operations of a designated shift.
  • Supports and administers operational goals, monitors performance and profit objectives.
  • Calls and coordinates with manager regarding scheduling concerns, prioritizing guest satisfaction.
  • Establishes and maintains product menus, records inventories, and ensures adherence to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintains beverage department policies and procedures to control costs, maintain quality, and ensure service excellence.
  • Communicates with other departments to coordinate activities and address issues, especially during special events.
  • Maintains inventory of all beverage products and assists in the budget process for the department.
  • Supports superior customer service by promoting and demonstrating department and company standards.
  • Ensures compliance with customer service standards and resolves issues as they arise.
  • Assists in administrative tasks as needed.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

Requirements

  • Associates degree (A.A.) in related field or equivalent experience in Beverage.
  • Two years of Beverage or equivalent experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior gaming experience preferred.
  • Minimum of two years supervisory experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

Qualifications

  • Supervises staff development and training programs.
  • Manages rewards and recognition programs to enhance employee engagement.
  • Evaluates team members within the department and provides constructive feedback on performance.
  • Responsible for recommending staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning, and directing work) to meet business needs.
  • Manages work procedures and expedites workflow.
  • Provides recommendations for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, and counseling).
