Food Bank Truck (Back-Up) Driver/Assistant

Pickup and Delivery

• Pick up food from donating agencies
• Deliver food to distribution points (Food Pantries/Soup Kitchens)

Maintenance

• Record proper mileage of the truck
• Ensure proper maintenance of the truck in a timely manner
• Clean and wash the truck as needed

Reporting and Documentation

• Collect necessary statistics and signatures from each delivery site
• Promptly report any damage to product
• Secure necessary truck volunteers for loading/unloading

Clearances and Training

• All three PA Clearances required upon employment and thereafter upon renewal date:
• PA Child Abuse History Clearance
• Request for Criminal Record
• Fingerprint based federal criminal history
• The Salvation Army's KeepSAfe training required

Qualifications

• High School graduate or must have G.E.D. equivalent
• Must have valid PA Drivers License
• Must be able to work unsupervised as minimal as possible
