About the role

The Food Nutrition Program Manager contributes to AHF by supporting the day-to-day operations of South Side Help Centers' Food Bank and Home Delivered Meals Program. This role ensures people living with HIV/AIDS have access to nutritious, medically appropriate food as an integral part of their care plan.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily program operations by supervising staff, coordinating with vendors and community partners, managing food ordering and inventory, and ensuring efficient food bank operations.
  • Collaborate with the program team to develop and implement client intake and nutrition protocols, enforce Ryan White Services eligibility verification guidelines, and monitor program outcomes and reporting requirements.
  • Work closely with the licensed dietician to assist clients with SmartChoice food selections, prepare food orders for pick-up or home delivery, coordinate timely and respectful meal deliveries, and provide individual and group nutrition education sessions.
  • Ensure timely service delivery, accurate data entry, and compliance with program standards and licensed nutrition professional guidelines, enabling the program to achieve performance objectives and contractual deliverables.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Public Health, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in food service management or related field.
  • Experience working with individuals living with HIV/AIDS and knowledge of Ryan White Services eligibility verification guidelines.
  • Proven ability to manage and supervise staff, coordinate with vendors and community partners, and maintain efficient food bank operations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to provide individual and group nutrition education sessions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on client-centered care.

Skills

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Pay

$60,000 - $70,000 annually based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule
