About the Role
Trinity Health in Muskegon is searching for motivated individuals to join our Nutritional Services team. On-the-job training is provided for full-time and part-time positions, including 2nd shift (12 PM - 8 PM) and 1st shift opportunities.
As a Food Service Worker, you will perform various food service duties and provide customer service for the Nutrition Services Department, collaborating with clinical dietitians, nursing units, patients, and guests.
Responsibilities
- Processes room service orders
- Interacts with patients and family members by taking orders via phone and inputting menu selections into the computer
- Gathers, washes, and puts away dry dishes
- Promotes positive customer service relations between Nutrition Services and nursing units, patients, families, and others
- Maintains knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Guest service background is a plus
