About the role

The Food & Beverage Service Technician installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs commercial food and beverage equipment to ensure reliable operation, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain food and beverage equipment including (but not limited to): Coffee and espresso machines, Fountain beverage systems, Ice machines, Refrigeration equipment, Ovens, warmers, and other light commercial kitchen equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Install new equipment and perform start-ups and testing.
  • Accurately complete service reports, work orders, and documentation.
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding issues, repairs, and recommendations.
  • Maintain service vehicles, tools, parts inventory, and safety equipment.
  • Follow all company, customer, and regulatory safety standards.
  • Cookout with dispatch, service managers, and parts departments as needed.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and emergency service calls as required.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience servicing commercial food and beverage equipment (or equivalent technical experience).
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic refrigeration knowledge (EPA certification preferred or required).
  • Ability to read schematics, manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Must have own basic tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • EPA Universal Certification.
  • Factory or manufacturer certifications (coffee, beverage, refrigeration, etc.).
  • Experience in convenience store, restaurant, or hospitality environments.
  • Basic plumbing and gas knowledge.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to kneel, bend, climb, and work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with overtime and on-call availability required. Must be willing to travel throughout Florida.
