About the role
The Food & Beverage Service Technician installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs commercial food and beverage equipment to ensure reliable operation, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain food and beverage equipment including (but not limited to): Coffee and espresso machines, Fountain beverage systems, Ice machines, Refrigeration equipment, Ovens, warmers, and other light commercial kitchen equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
- Install new equipment and perform start-ups and testing.
- Accurately complete service reports, work orders, and documentation.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding issues, repairs, and recommendations.
- Maintain service vehicles, tools, parts inventory, and safety equipment.
- Follow all company, customer, and regulatory safety standards.
- Cookout with dispatch, service managers, and parts departments as needed.
- Participate in on-call rotation and emergency service calls as required.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience servicing commercial food and beverage equipment (or equivalent technical experience).
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Basic refrigeration knowledge (EPA certification preferred or required).
- Ability to read schematics, manuals, and technical documentation.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Must have own basic tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- EPA Universal Certification.
- Factory or manufacturer certifications (coffee, beverage, refrigeration, etc.).
- Experience in convenience store, restaurant, or hospitality environments.
- Basic plumbing and gas knowledge.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to kneel, bend, climb, and work in confined spaces.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time position with overtime and on-call availability required. Must be willing to travel throughout Florida.
