Responsibilities
- Ensures staff is working together as a team to ensure optimum service and that guest needs are met.
- Inspects grooming and attire of staff and rectifies any deficiencies.
- Completes scheduled inventories and stock and requisition necessary supplies.
- Maintains dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and wellbeing of guests.
- Attends to guests in a prompt, efficient, and personalized manner.
- Liaises between front of house and the kitchen staff to ensure timely and appropriate communications.
- Maintains cleanliness, well-stocking, and organization of the restaurant and its facilities.
- Monitors and reports on the maintenance of all equipment in the restaurant.
- Completes opening and closing procedures, side work, and ensures cleanliness and organization of equipment and storage areas.
- Collaborates with the Food & Beverage Manager in coordinating special functions.
- Assists in coordinating special functions with the Food & Beverage Manager.
- Assists the Food & Beverage Manager in interviewing, training, planning, assigning, and directing work.
- Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others, supports the team to reach common goals, and listens and responds appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
- Ensures adherence to quality expectations and standards; and identifies, recommends, develops, and implements new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-saving initiatives.
- Addresses complaints and resolves problems.
- Assists in the coordination of department members that may include, but is not limited to: Hosts, Servers, Expediters, and Cashiers.
- Assists in monitoring business volume forecast and plans accordingly in areas of manpower, productivity, costs and other expenses.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven exemplary customer service skills.
- One to three years’ experience at current Club or another Troon property.
Preferred Requirements
- Working knowledge of POS system.
- Attention to cleanliness and safety.
- Patient and customer-oriented approach.
- Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude.
