Food and Beverage Manager

About the role

The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for ensuring attentive, friendly, courteous, and efficient service across various outlets, including Room Service, Lounge, and Banquets. They must adhere to budgeted payroll and overhead costs while continuously striving to increase sales revenue.

Responsibilities

• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with scheduling requirements.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
• Comply with safety and operational standards.
• Ensure all certifications are up-to-date.
• Be familiar with hotel organization and departmental functions.
• Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor.
• Motivate, coach, counsel, and discipline F&B personnel.
• Prepare and conduct F&B interviews and follow hiring procedures.
• Develop and implement promotional ideas.
• Ensure beverage costs are within budget.
• Contribute to guest service scores.
• Maintain company SOPs and policies.
• Manage departmental meetings and reports.
• Handle lost and found items.
• Perform POS changes and menu adjustments.
• Monitor and resolve cash discrepancies.
• Support engineering and management in emergency procedures.
• Manage inventory and maintain a filing system.
• Review food sales for accuracy.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field; or a combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in Windows operating systems, company-approved software, and basic arithmetic functions.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle stress and high-pressure situations.

Qualifications

• At least a 2-year college degree and 3+ years of related experience, or a 4-year college degree and 1+ year of related experience.
