About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Food and Beverage Manager to oversee the operations of our dining facilities and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food and beverage industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for providing outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Operational Management:
- Oversee daily operations of food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, bars, and catering services.
- Ensure high standards of food quality and presentation, adherence to recipes, and consistency in service.
- Monitor inventory and manage purchasing for all food and beverage supplies, ensuring cost control measures are in place.
- Staff Leadership and Development:
- Recruit, train, and motivate staff to deliver exceptional service and promote a positive work environment.
- Schedule staff effectively to ensure high coverage during peak hours while managing labor costs.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement training programs for ongoing staff development.
- Customer Experience:
- Ensure exceptional guest experiences by addressing customer inquiries, resolving complaints, and fostering a customer-centric culture.
- Collaborate with culinary staff to develop and innovate menu offerings that align with guest preferences and seasonal trends.
- Financial Management:
- Prepare and manage the budget for the food and beverage department, analyzing financial performance and taking corrective actions as needed.
- Implement pricing strategies to maximize revenue while maintaining competitive positioning in the market.
- Monitor sales and expenses, producing regular reports for upper management.
- Health and Safety Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement safety protocols and training for all staff to maintain a safe working and dining environment.
- Marketing and Promotion:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote food and beverage offerings through events, special promotions, and social media campaigns.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor offerings to continuously improve our dining experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in food and beverage management or a similar role in a hospitality environment.
- Strong understanding of food and beverage operations, including menu development, cost control, and customer service excellence.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a diverse team.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and financial analysis.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations pertaining to food and beverage service.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
