Food and Beverage Helper

About the Role

We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property at The Club at Eaglebrooke in Lakeland, FL. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Responsibilities

• Welcome each guest with a friendly greeting and escort them to their assigned table.
• Seat guests in station rotation while maintaining guest lists and following/enforcing check issue procedures.
• Assign opening and closing side duties and supervise side work; ensure completed setups of all stations before service staff departure.
• Assist with side work and support service staff with bussing tables and taking cocktail orders.
• Maintain reservation book, take incoming telephone calls, and note reservations and special requests from guests.
• Retain knowledge of all menu items, prices, and general service procedures.
• Maintain standards of appearance and cleanliness in all service areas.
• Remain visible on the dining room floor and be easily accessible to guests, staff, and management.
• Check all tables before service to ensure proper settings.
• Communicate guest requests and concerns to the department manager.
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as required by supervisor.

Requirements

• Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform the duties of the job.
• Must complete Alcohol Awareness Training.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of point of sale (POS) system.

Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working Conditions

• Often required to stand, walk, talk, and listen.
• Regularly lifts up to 10 pounds.
• Occasionally reaches with arms and hands, uses hands, tastes, smells, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls.
• Noise level is moderate.
• Works extended hours during golf and holiday season.
• Works weekends and holidays.
