The Food & Beverage team ensures a consistent guest experience by maintaining product freshness, availability, accurate pricing, and appealing displays. This role focuses on operations, process efficiency, and leading food services, including replenishment, inventory management, food safety, and promotional strategies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest experiences, prioritizing guest needs over tasks.
• Uphold Food & Beverage standards and execute processes like deliveries, replenishment, merchandising, and inventory management.
• Follow food safety requirements and Target’s policies for handling damaged, recalled, or expired items.
• Use sampling and suggestive selling to promote products and increase sales.
• Work with vendors to maintain salesfloor displays and organized backroom spaces.
• Comply with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
• Use and care for in-store and personal protective equipment, following safety guidelines.
• Support guest services such as backup cashier, order pick-up, and drive-up, ensuring compliance with laws.
• Greet guests, assist with inquiries, and create a welcoming shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old (Bakery Only).
• Previous food or grocery experience preferred but not required.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate using multiple devices and operate technology like handheld scanners.
• Work independently and as part of a team, resolving guest questions quickly.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
• Remain composed in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks within set timeframes.

Skills

• Guest service fundamentals and building a guest-first culture.
• Knowledge of food seasonality, freshness, quality, and safety standards.
• Understanding of department sales trends, inventory, and pricing strategies.
• Ability to handle cash register operations, climb ladders, and lift up to 44 pounds.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Capability to work in environments ranging from 34°F to -10°F and handle common allergens.

Pay

Starting Hourly Rate: $16.50 USD per hour
