Folder Gluer Operator

Primary Responsibilities

• Understands Finishing Gluing order requirements while following the daily posted schedule
• Oversee the folding and gluing process, ensuring the output meets quantity and quality standards
• Checks flat carton blanks, verifying correct copy and product identification number, while preparing proper adhesive, window file (type/size, if required), corrugate cases, and required labels
• Make-Ready / Set-Up and adjust Folder Gluer Machine, Case Packer, Case Erector, and Case Tape Machine
• Make-Ready / Set-Up and adjust Window Glue Machine
• Make-Ready / Set-Up and adjust Corrugate Case Packing Machine (Carton Pack II)
• Inspect random sample cartons for Gluing Quality
• Verify compliance with packing specifications as stated on the Factory Order
• Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership and responsibility for implementation of new and different requests
• Able to provide feedback to design with structures for equipment capability on the folder gluer

Requirements

• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with management, peers and other employees
• Have active listening skills, attention to detail and follow-through
• Demonstrate tact, professionalism, teamwork, flexibility, an organized approach to work and a positive attitude
• All duties to be performed in compliance with the company guidelines and safety policies
• MUST wear ear plug hearing protection and safety glasses in designated areas

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent is preferred but not required
• Some experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
