Folder Gluer Operator (2nd Shift)
About This Job...
Nosco is looking for a Carton Folder Gluer Operator on Second shift at our Pleasant Prairie, WI facility. As an employee owner in this position, you will operate our carton folding/gluing asset in order to perform the final step of folding carton production. The purpose of this position is to produce folding cartons in order to meet on time delivery, high quality expectations, and in accordance with all customer specifications in a safe and efficient manner.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operates a folder/gluer per SOPs, work instructions, and control riders.
- Actively monitor production efficiency and quality while completing all documentation and reporting accurately.
- Troubleshoot machine problems as it pertains to equipment and set up.
- Perform testing as required and understands what corrective actions could be necessary to achieve passing results.
- Affords assistance in minimizing the scope of remakes (identifying problems in a timely fashion through attributing and effectively communicating with customer fulfillment technicians).
- Performs clean-up/maintenance tasks in accordance with company SOP.
- Ability to perform and sustain a high rate of productivity. Meets expectations for set up time and run speeds as established by the department leads.
Requirements
- Preferably +2 years of carton folder/gluer experience or other technical skills operating machinery.
- Experience with basic Quality systems and documentation.
- Flexibility to work any shift and Overtime.
- Work in a fast pace environment with ability to deal with change.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read a ruler to 1/64" Physical requirements: Twisting, turning, squeezing, grasping, reaching, reaching over equipment, kneeling, crawling, pulling, extended periods of standing, ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Long periods of concentration.
- Speaking, hearing and vision are also essentials to performing job functions.
