About the role
The FOIA Analyst is responsible for managing and responding to Freedom of Information Act requests from the public and internal departments.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze FOIA requests for completeness and compliance with legal requirements.
- Research and compile relevant documents and information in response to FOIA requests.
- Prepare and submit responses to FOIA requests, ensuring they are accurate and meet all legal standards.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure timely and effective handling of FOIA requests.
- Stay updated on changes in FOIA law and regulations to ensure compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Information Technology, Public Administration, or Law.
- At least 2 years of experience in handling FOIA requests or similar administrative tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
Qualifications
- Experience with FOIA laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of federal records management policies and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Skills
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Good organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Pay
Salary range: $50,000 - $60,000 annually.
Schedule
Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
