FOIA Analyst

About the role

The FOIA Analyst will provide comprehensive support for Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. This includes managing incoming requests, coordinating with internal departments, and ensuring timely and accurate responses.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and prioritize FOIA request workflows
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary information and respond to requests
  • Ensure compliance with FOIA guidelines and regulations
  • Prepare and maintain records related to FOIA requests
  • Communicate effectively with external parties regarding FOIA matters

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., government affairs, public policy, law)
  • At least 2 years of experience in FOIA processing or related field
  • Strong understanding of FOIA laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications

  • Experience working with government agencies and contractors
  • Knowledge of FOIA exemptions and case law
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
