Foam Room Operator

Our Redmond, Oregon facility rotationally molds and assembles double-acting traffic doors, extrudes flexible PVC roll goods, and assembles PVC strip curtains.
About the role
The Foam Room Operator is a key member of a three-person production team responsible for foaming the cores of our Traffic Doors in a fast-paced, physical manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork. The operator will run foam presses, handle a foam gun, and follow established procedures to ensure consistent, high-quality product output.
Responsibilities
- Operate foam presses and foam gun equipment safely and efficiently.
- Prepare doors for the foaming process according to production specifications.
- Monitor machinery, gauges, and material flow to ensure proper operation.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections to maintain quality standards.
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals.
- Document production data, material usage, and any equipment issues.
- Assist with routine equipment cleaning and basic maintenance tasks.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
- Ability to work in a physical role, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work a consistent 40-hour workweek.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills.
Work Environment
- Industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, chemicals, and moving machinery.
- PPE required (training provided).
- Work performed as part of a small operational team.
Pay
Starting pay: $23 per hour. Opportunities for overtime, skill development, and advancement may be available.
