FNS Asst PRN

About the role

We are seeking a FNS Assistant to join our Food Services team. You would perform a variety of food services for the patients, cleaning and dish room duties, and other related cleaning tasks. You would join a team that cares like family and always works in a collaborative manner.

Responsibilities

• Prepare various foods and beverages for patients.
• Prepare and portion foods following established guidelines, recipes, and production sheets.
• Cover, label, and date foods and store them properly according to procedures.
• Follow proper food handling techniques (gloves, handwashing, hair covering, no eating on the job, etc.).
• Prepare and set up food and supplies in sufficient quantity to cover service requirements; restock as needed.
• Check daily menu needs and complete advance preparation for the next day.
• Help to reduce cost by minimizing waste and over production; utilize leftovers appropriately.
• Promptly report food shortages, outdated items, or any products received in an unacceptable condition.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Some kitchen experience is desirable.
