FMR Core Faculty Member / Geriatrics
Position Overview
Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Core Faculty Physician for the Family Medicine Residency Program in Lewiston, Maine. The Core Faculty Physician will provide comprehensive clinical care to patients while actively participating in resident education, mentorship, curriculum development, and program administration in accordance with ACGME standards. This position blends direct patient care with academic leadership and faculty responsibilities.
Core Faculty Responsibilities (ACGME-Aligned)
- Provide direct supervision of Family Medicine residents in clinical settings
- Teach and model evidence-based geriatric and long-term care medicine
- Participate in didactic teaching, case conferences, and curriculum development
- Serve as a faculty advisor and mentor to residents
- Participate in resident evaluation, milestone assessments, and Clinical Competency Committee activities
- Engage in scholarly activity, research, or quality improvement projects
- Participate in program evaluation and continuous accreditation compliance
- Attend faculty meetings and contribute to residency leadership initiatives
