About the role
The Framingham Public Schools seek an instructor for the 2026-2027 school year. This position aims to inspire student growth through equitable after-school co-curricular instruction and enrichment programs.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging co-curricular instructional activities and enrichment lessons aligned with program goals.
- Execute the program curriculum or project plan to ensure a high-quality, structured, and meaningful learning experience for all students.
- Promote and encourage student participation and consistent attendance in the program.
- Track and document student participation data accurately and consistently.
- Secure appropriate space for program activities, if applicable, and inform the ELT Coordinator of any schedule or space changes promptly.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, welcoming, and culturally responsive learning environment during all program hours.
Requirements
- A valid Massachusetts Teaching license in the area of study is preferred.
- Experience in the specific field with appropriately aged students.
- Relevant experience operating within a school setting.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is preferred.

- Communication Skills: Proficiency in communicating clearly, concisely, and responsively—both orally and in writing—across staff, parents, and the general public.
- Problem-Solving & Reasoning: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and recommend appropriate courses of action to ensure student success.
- Organization & Multi-Tasking: Strong organizational skills with a proven capacity to work independently, focus, prioritize, and manage multiple program streams and tasks simultaneously.
- Equity & Inclusion: Ability to work with students and staff of diverse backgrounds with diverse needs in an equitable, inclusive, and culturally proficient manner.
- Compliance & Discretion: Ability to perform duties with high professional awareness of district goals, state/federal regulations, and school board policies while maintaining appropriate confidential records.
- Professional Resilience: Capacity to react calmly, professionally, and objectively to unpredictable situations (e.g., environmental changes, behavior/aggression, seizure activity).
- Collaboration & Teamwork: Ability to consistently collaborate with colleagues through shared planning or informal conversation to analyze student performance and development.
- Learning Environment Design: Capacity to support the creation of appropriate and effective academic, behavioral, and social/emotional learning experiences for students.
Benefits
Framingham Public Schools offers a stipend payment structure distributed twice annually, uniquely issued at the midpoint and the conclusion of the school year.
Pay
The pay structure includes stipend payments distributed twice annually.
Schedule
The work year is 185 days (Ten-Months).
