We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business. The Fly Fishing Guide enhances Blackberry’s fly fishing program through guest interaction and by providing 5-star service to all guests at our Walland, TN location.

Responsibilities

• Guide guests on 5-star fly fishing trips, assisting with location selection, water navigation, fly patterns, knot tying, and safe catch-and-release practices.
• Teach personalized or group fly fishing lessons, covering casting techniques, fly selection, knot tying, and safety procedures for guests and fish.
• Educate guests on local fishing tactics and provide knowledge about the sport.
• Maintain fly fishing areas by removing debris and ensuring all gear (rods, waders, boots) remains functional.
• Assist guests with fly fishing knowledge, answer questions about the sport, and help select equipment for purchase.
• Provide information about fly fishing supplies and gear available in the Gift Shop.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including regular attendance and teamwork with staff and management.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience and knowledge in fly fishing, particularly in the Southeast United States.
• Valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with guests, team members, and managers.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to resolve guest issues and make decisions aligned with company goals.
• Capability to assess conditions for a safe and high-quality guest experience.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on feet for most or all of the shift.
• Ability to operate a company vehicle or golf cart safely.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and in all weather conditions.
