Fluids Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a talented Fluids Engineer to join our team at Valmet. The ideal candidate will support our customers with world-class technology solutions within the pulp & paper industry.

Responsibilities

• Create circuit drawings and piping diagrams
• Create valve panel assembly drawings
• Work with component selection and create installation task lists
• Responsible for system sizing (hydraulic power units, valves, pipes)
• Engage in engineering calculations for flow and pressure
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and start-ups as required

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from a four-year college or university
• A minimum of four years' related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ideal candidates should have experience in the paper industry, particularly with heavy industrial equipment
• Must have a strong understanding of fluid circuit design and proficiency in using AutoCAD
• Cadmatic experience is preferred but not required
