About the role

Labcorp is seeking a Flow Cytometry Diagnostic Specialist in Cell Immunology to join our team in Burlington, NC.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and implement new flow cytometry panels as needed for emerging diagnostic needs
• Analyze and interpret multi-color flow cytometry data for diagnostic purposes, including hematologic malignancies, immune deficiencies, and monitoring of transplant patients
• Maintain and troubleshoot flow cytometry instruments (e.g., BD FACSCanto, FACSLyric, or equivalent) to ensure optimal performance and data integrity
• Prepare data summaries, reports, and write SOPs
• Participate in quality control, proficiency testing, and process improvement initiatives
• Provide training and mentorship to laboratory staff on flow cytometry techniques and analysis

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
• 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a clinical diagnostic setting

Qualifications

• ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)
• Strong understanding of immunophenotyping and diagnostic applications in hematologic disorders (preferred)
• Experience with flow cytometry software (e.g., FlowJo, Kaluza, FCS Express) (preferred)
• Familiarity with regulatory standards (CLIA, CAP, HIPAA) in a clinical laboratory setting
• Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced laboratory environment
• Proficiency with laboratory information systems (LIS) and diagnostic instruments/software

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM
