Floral Studio Assistant, Chicago
About the role
The Floral Studio Assistant supports the Chicago floral team, collaborating with the Purchasing/Buying department and Operations/Productions teams to ensure proper handling of fresh floral products.
Responsibilities
- Aid in receiving, quality assurance, and floral care for incoming daily fresh shipments and deliveries.
- Address damaged, excess, or incorrect items.
- Organize all fresh materials for production teams.
- Perform fresh floral maintenance and cooler sanitation.
- Conduct additional prep and cleaning duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Able to organize and work with a team.
- Collaborates and communicates effectively.
- Extremely detail-oriented and able to prioritize and multitask.
- Level-headed in high-volume environments.
- Able to stand, walk, reach, climb, kneel, and crouch.
- Comfortable standing for long periods of time.
- Able to regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.
- Computer proficient.
- Prior floral variety knowledge preferred or willingness to learn.
- Spanish-speaking a plus.
