Floral Specialist

Daily Floral Responsibilities

• Care for flowers
• Create and assemble a variety of floral arrangements (bouquets, centerpieces, corsages, wreaths, etc.) for events, weddings, funerals, holidays, and special occasions
• Greet and assist customers in person, via email, or on the phone with sales of floral products, gift items, and live plants
• Take customer orders, process payments, and ensure accurate record-keeping of orders and delivery information
• Pack and protect arrangements for transport
• Coordinate or assist with deliveries as needed

Additional Duties

• Assist with physical setup and breakdown of floral and decor arrangements at events
• Prepare, pack, load, and transport materials to event venues
• Set up large-scale floral installations and decorative elements, such as floral arches and wall displays

Qualifications

• Possess creative & artistic skills with a strong eye for color, texture, balance, and proportion to create aesthetically pleasing arrangements
• High attention to detail is essential for precise arrangement assembly and accurate order processing
• Organizational skills for managing inventory, maintaining a tidy workspace, and handling multiple tasks simultaneously
• A genuine interest in flowers, plants, and floral design is a strong asset
• Willingness to collaborate effectively with a team and follow management direction
• Adaptable and flexible to make adjustments to arrangements based on unexpected changes or specific client requests
• Familiarity with event setup and breakdown procedures, basic understanding of floral and event logistics, as well as common venue policies
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to be clear and concise via phone, email, and in person
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation required
• Able to work steadily at a computer for long periods of time
• Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your hands, arms and legs, and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials for a prolonged period of time
• A steady energy level, and a calm demeanor
• Able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time
• Able to operate hand and power tools
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs without assistance
• Able to frequently climb and descend stairs and ladders and to work safely at heights
• Able to perform all essential functions with, or without reasonable accommodations
