Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service
• Escorts customers to products, secures items, loads/unloads heavy items, and passes along customer suggestions
• Answers the telephone and takes product orders
• Checks orders, sets up timelines, and manages inventory
• Trains floral designers and clerks, oversees their work, and handles customer issues
• Maintains cleanliness and neatness of the department
• Processes FTD, interstore, and Teleflora orders, fills customer orders, and creates floral arrangements
• Orders flowers and supplies, cleans and cuts flowers, and wraps them carefully
• Reports to work on time and assumes management duties in the absence of the Department Manager
• Shares ideas for arrangements and assists in decorating store events
• Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required

Requirements

• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions
• Ability to file, post, and mail materials; interview to obtain basic information; guide people and provide basic direction
• Physical requirements: must be able to perform medium work, including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
• Visual requirements: must have vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision
