Flooring Sales Specialist – Queens

About the role

Unique Floor Supply is looking for an energetic, customer-focused Flooring Sales Specialist to join our Brooklyn team. You’ll work directly with contractors, builders, homeowners, designers, and flooring professionals—helping customers find the right flooring, supplies, tools, and accessories for their projects. This is a hands-on inside sales role for someone who enjoys working with people, follows up, takes initiative, and wants the opportunity to grow with a growing company.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in our ProShop and showroom
• Answer incoming sales calls, emails, and inquiries
• Recommend flooring, adhesives, finishes, tools, stair parts, and related products
• Prepare quotes and sales orders using our ERP/CRM system
• Follow up on quotes, leads, and open opportunities
• Build strong relationships with contractors and repeat customers
• Communicate pricing, availability, lead times, and order status
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell relevant products
• Maintain accurate customer and sales information in our system
• Organize and label flooring samples and showroom displays
• Keep ProShop merchandise organized and assist customers with ProShop products
• Participate in a small amount of outbound sales activity and customer follow-up each week
• Work closely with our Sales Lead, warehouse, purchasing, and accounting teams to provide a smooth customer experience
• Continuously build product knowledge across the full UFS product line
• Greet and assist customers in product selection
• Cash out customers
• Use CRM to capture leads and follow up until close of the sale
• Build relationships with repeat customers

Requirements

• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Sales-minded, motivated, and comfortable speaking with customers
• Organized, dependable, and able to follow through
• Comfortable using computers, POS, CRM, or ERP systems
• Willingness to learn flooring products and technical information
• Ability to manage multiple customers and priorities
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous sales experience preferred
• Flooring, construction, building-material, or home-improvement experience is a plus
• Spanish is preferred, but not required
• Must have a high school degree or higher
• Passionate about helping customers
• Team player
• Ambition to grow personally and within the company
• Valid work authorization

Pay

$22–$26 per hour, based on experience, plus monthly performance bonus.

Schedule

Full-time position. Schedule flexibility is important. UFS currently operates early weekday hours, and showroom hours may expand to include later evenings and weekends as we continue to grow.
