Flooring Sales Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Answer customer’s questions on how to accomplish their goals.
• Learn company products, procedures, culture, and philosophy.
• Provide outstanding customer service by listening, educating, quoting and selling products for the customer’s needs.
• Aid customers in selecting flooring products, coordinating special orders, and providing product recommendations based on their project needs.
• Evaluate competitive situations and determine appropriate action to gain additional business.
• Understand profit margins and how to maintain them while increasing sales.
• Attend training sessions to learn and keep current on products we sell.
• Effectively handle customer complaints and warranty issues.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Desired Skills, Knowledge, And Qualifications

• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
• Desire to learn and grow professionally.
• Physical strength to lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Strong knowledge of construction industry.
• Computer knowledge.
• Ability to form strong relationships with customers.
• Ability to react quickly to problems and respond to them accurately and professionally.
• Ability to operate a computer and calculator.
• High School diploma preferred.
• Friendly outgoing personality that enjoys working with people.
• Positive and energetic attitude.
• Strong verbal skills.
• Knowledge of flooring products or the construction industry preferred.
