About the role
We are hiring a full-time Flooring Installer to join our team in Portage, Michigan. This position is ideal for someone with experience in residential flooring who takes quality seriously and works well both independently and as part of a crew. If you’re dependable, skilled, and ready to contribute to projects across our service area, we’d love to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Measure and cut flooring materials to fit precisely within designated areas
- Install a wide variety of flooring types including hardwood, laminate, tile, and carpet
- Prepare surfaces for installation by cleaning, leveling, and repairing subfloors as needed
- Interpret blueprints and layout specifications to ensure accurate installations
- Perform trim carpentry and finishing touches to complete the look of each flooring job
- Collaborate with team members and other trades on-site to keep projects running smoothly
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace and follow all job site safety protocols
- Communicate with clients professionally and keep them informed on progress
Requirements
- Proven experience in flooring installation
- Familiarity with tile laying techniques is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive attitude and a desire to contribute to a high-performing company
Pay
Pay ranges from $21.00 to $40.00 per hour depending on experience.
