Flooring Helper

About the role

The primary purpose of the Flooring Helper's position is to perform all assigned tasks, including but not limited to, the safe, efficient operation of the flooring manufacturing equipment and associated equipment. Additionally, the helper will be required to perform routine maintenance and cleaning on all machinery and workspaces in the assigned area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Safe, efficient operation of the flooring manufacturing equipment and associated equipment
• Routine maintenance and cleaning of all machinery and workspaces in the assigned area of responsibility
• Understand and manipulate computer software related to the operation of the flooring line and associated equipment
• Identify conditions which may lead to substandard quality or up-time and initiate the proper corrective action
• Assist operators and maintenance personnel in the troubleshooting, repair, or preventive maintenance of equipment

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work closely with others in a small team environment
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Excellent attendance record
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
