Floor Trader - MIAX Sapphire
About the role
Chicago Trading Company (CTC) is seeking an open outcry market making trader on the MIAX Sapphire floor. The role involves providing elite liquidity in a competitive environment, leveraging strong trading acumen and operational excellence to make profitable decisions while minimizing risk of errors, fostering and navigating broker and other market maker relationships, and communicating opportunities and trade information to CTC market making desks.
Responsibilities
- Make reliable, quality markets and provide top-tier liquidity across multiple products
- Leverage strong trading acumen and operational excellence to make profitable decisions while minimizing risk of errors
- Foster and navigate broker and other market maker relationships
- Communicate opportunities and trade information to CTC market making desks
- Continuously adapt trading strategy based on market environment and results
Requirements
- Active SIE/Series 57 certification
- At least 6 months floor options market making experience
- Strong, independent judgement under pressure
- Ability to navigate complex relationships
- Proactive and clear communication skills
- Sound operational skillset
- Ability to prioritize the most important thing at any given moment
Qualifications
The successful candidate will undergo training to master CTC’s proprietary technology and trading strategy.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $175,000—$200,000 USD. The role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, and firm performance.
Schedule
The shift runs from 8:30 am-4:30 pm ET (trading hours 9:30 am-4:15pm), Monday to Friday.
